MALAPURAM AGRAHARAM– PAPANASAM TALUK– THANJAVUR DIST.- TAMIL NADU STATE – INDIA
Shri Lakshminarayana Perumal temple is located at Malapuram Agraharam near Uthamanathapuram which is the place of Thamizh Thatha U.Ve. Swaminatha Iyer generally known as U.Ve.Sa. Iyer. It comes under Papanasam Taluk and Thanjavur District. This temple was built by Pudukkottai Maharaja for the people of Malapuram Agraharam and was maintained by one of the families residing in this Agraharam.
As the members of the said family became old and sick they could not maintain the temple and was handed over to the Government. Then it was maintained under “Oru kala poojai thittam” of Tamil Nadu HR& CE Department. After getting proper permission from the Government HR & CE Department, work has been started to renovate the above temple in the month of September 2020. When the trees grown above the Garpagraham were removed, it collapsed as the root of the tree had completely damaged the Gopuram.
Hence it has been decided to build the Garpagraham with Marble stone (Karungal -Thirupani) and the approximate estimation is as follows:

அருள்மிகு லட்சுமிநாராயண பெருமாள் திருக்கோயில்

இத்திருக்கோயில் மன்னர்கள் காலத்து புதுக்கோட்டை சமஸ்தானம் மஹாராஜாவால் மாளாபுரம் அக்ரஹாரம் மற்றும் அதனைச் சுற்றியுள்ள கிராமவாசிகளுக்கு வழிபாட்டுத்தளமாக அமைக்கப்பட்ட திருத்தலமாகும் . இங்கு வீற்றிருக்கும் அருள்மிகு லட்சுமிநாராயண பெருமாள் பக்தர்களுக்கு கலையும் கல்வியும் செல்வமும் அள்ளி அருளும் கருணாமூர்த்தியாக வீற்றிருக்கிறாரர்.
இத்திருக்கோயில் பரம்பரை பரம்பரையாக பராமரித்து வந்த மாளாபுரம் அக்ரஹாரத்தைச்சேர்ந்த ஒரு வம்சாவழி குடும்பத்தினர் வயதுமூப்பு மற்றும் ஆரோக்யக் குறைவு காரணமாக பராமரிக்க இயலாமல் தமிழ்நாடு ஆறநிலையத்துறையிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டு ஒருகால பூஜை திட்டத்தின்கிழ் இயங்கி வருகிறது.
இத்திருக்கோயில் தற்போது மிகவும் சிதிலமடைந்துள்ள நிலையில் இருப்பதால் தற்போது தமிழ்நாடு இந்து ஆறநிலையத்துறையிடமிருந்து தகுந்த அனுமதி பெறப்பட்டு புணரமைப்பு செய்யும் பணி கடந்த செப்டம்பர் மாதம் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.
கோயில் கோபுரத்தின்மீது வளர்ந்திருந்த அரசமரத்தின் வேர்களினால் பெருமளவு பாதிக்கப்பட்டதால் கோயில் கோபுரம் இடிபாடுகளுக்குப்பட்டுள்ளபடியால் மேற்படி திருக்கோயிலின் திருப்பணியை கருகங்கல் திருப்பணியாக செய்ய முடிவெடுக்கப்பட்டு அதற்கான ஆரம்பகட்ட பணிகள் நடைபெற்று வருகிறது .
மேற்படி திருக்கோயில் திருப்பணிக்கு நன்கொடைகள் வரவேற்கப்படுகின்றது தொகையை மாளாபுரம் இறைப்பணி மன்றம் என்னும் பெயரில் கும்பகோணம் சிட்டி யூனியன் வங்கிக்கணக்கில் செலுத்துமாறு கேட்டுக்கோள்ளப்படுகிறது.
